Welcome to Nipomo School. As a proud TAP school we are committed to academic excellence and believe that all children can learn. School hours are 9:00am to 3:15pm except for Kindergarten. Kindergarten is on an extended day schedule from 9:00am to 2:00pm. This year we also have our Transitional Kindergarten class which will be from 9:00am to 12:45pm.

KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION Kindergarten registration packets for the 2013-2014 school year will be available for pick up in theschool office beginning Monday, March 25, 2013. In accordance with the new Senate Bill 1381, children turning five years old by October 1, 2013 will be eligible to enroll. Those students turning five years old between October 2 and December 2, 2013 are eligible for Transistional Kindergarten. (If your child is eligible for Transistional Kindergarten please call our District Kindergarten Contact, Julie Bowles at 474-3000 ext. 1133 as soon as possible). Registration packets for both will be accepted in the office during the following times. Monday through Friday, 10:00 - 12:00 in the morning and 1:00 - 2:30 in the afternoon. Upon completion of your Kindergarten registration packet an appointment will be scheduled for your child for Kindergarten Roundup in the latter part of May. Appointments are limited.

Nipomo Tigers experience a curriculum built upon the California State Standards for kindergarten through sixth grade. Our goal is to have all of our students reading, writing, and doing math at grade level in English by the time they leave for other schools. To do this, we use sound literacy instruction daily that is supported with literacy tutors working in classrooms with the teachers. The addition of after school tutoring creates an environment where all is being done to support our students.
